PETER RUDDLE
The owner and director of GBS Environmental Consulting, has many years experience as an Environmentalist and Game Ranching Consultant. He also has an extensive knowledge (over 30 years) of the Tourism and Hunting Industry.

Peter was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Zambia . His dream was to follow in his father's footsteps, a pioneer and keen hunter. After completing his education in Nature Conservation and Wildlife Management, he returned to the African bush. While employed as a research technician with the Natal Parks Board. He was trained as a Wildlife Extension Officer by many of the well-known people to have worked for the organisation.

He was also one of the founder members of "Drifters", a very successful overland safari company before returning to the wilds of Zululand to operate his own walking safari company. In 2005, Drifters approached him to work on a very difficult project as one of their main team leaders, to set-up the Wild Coast Mountain Biking and Hiking Trail. After the success achieved on this project, his attention turned to other community based tourism projects in Zululand.

In 2008, he established GBS Environmental Consulting a small exclusive consulting company based in Dundee, Northern KwaZulu-Natal. He has a good reputation for professionalism and a high standard of ethics, a testimony that speaks for itself by the high number of clients doing repeat business with the company.

Peter is married to Lynne who is currently the District Conservation Officer for KZN Wildlife Dundee.

TAMARA HILTUNEN
Tamara is married to Daryn Hiltunen a Conservation Manager based at KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife's Cathedral Peaks State Forest.

She initially studied Biochemistry and after completing her Masters she went to London and worked for Imperial College. On returning to South Africa she completed an MPhil in Wildlife Management and is currently studying for an environmental Management Honours Course, via correspondence through the University of South Africa.

MIRIAM NDLOVU
Miriam is our office assistant and filing clerk having worked for KZN Wildlife as a clerk and at Bonamanzi Game Ranch in Hluhluwe.
